Employee Spotlight: Meet the Oak Hill Team!
Evan Sheppard – Property Manager
Originally from Rochester, NY, Evan has been part of the Oak Hill community for nearly two years. On sunny days, you might even spot him biking to work! What Evan loves most about Oak Hill is the incredible mix of people—neighbors living in harmony and helping one another. He’s dedicated to putting in the time and energy needed to keep the community safe, welcoming, and vibrant. Evan is especially excited about the upcoming improvements planned for the property.
Fartoon – Administrative Assistant
Born in Yemen and raised in Oregon, Fartoon has been with CJ Company for just under five years. She brings creativity and dedication to her role at Oak Hill, and outside of work she enjoys writing and painting outdoors. Maintenance Notes: Q&A 🔧
How do I submit a work order?
You have a few convenient options:
Submit directly through the LOFT app
Call the On-Call Maintenance Line at 866-777-4587 (also used for emergencies)
👉 Using the call system is the most efficient way to ensure your request is addressed promptly.
How long will my service request take?
Our team works hard to resolve issues as quickly as possible.
Most requests are addressed Monday–Friday during normal business hours.
Emergency calls are handled 24 hours a day.
What types of work orders should I not submit?
Please avoid sending in requests for site-wide or seasonal tasks, such as:
Pressure washing
Gutter cleaning
Exterior painting or landscaping (hedges, vines, weeds)
10-year upgrades (handled through the Management Office)
Items you simply want noted but not acted on right away
Back-to-School Tips 🎒✨
The school year is back in full swing, and mornings don’t have to feel like a race against the clock! With a little prep the night before, you can help set your family up for success and start the day on a calmer note.
Night-Before Routine Ideas:
✅ Lay out clothes: Choose tomorrow’s outfit (shoes too!) so there are no last-minute wardrobe debates.
✅ Pack lunches & snacks: Save time by prepping meals ahead and popping them into the fridge—grab and go in the morning!
✅ Check backpacks: Make sure homework, signed papers, and supplies are ready to roll. A quick check avoids those “I forgot!” moments.
✅ Set up a launch pad: Keep shoes, jackets, and bags by the door to make the morning exit smoother.
✅ Wind down early: Encourage a consistent bedtime routine so kids get enough rest to tackle the day with energy.
💡 Pro Tip: Create a family checklist and keep it on the fridge or near the door. Kids can help check off their tasks each night—making it fun and teaching responsibility at the same time!
With a little organization in the evening, mornings become less rushed, less stressful, and a whole lot happier for everyone.
